Drums and Percussion Resource

playing drums and percussion

Playing the drums to a high standard takes a lot of time and energy, and normally quite a bit of expense. From the cost of your initial drum kit and the bewildering array of drums: snare, bass, tom-tom; cymbals: hi-hat, ride, splash, china, crash; pedals, drum sticks and stools. Of course, then there are lessons and the problem of transporting your kit safely for gigs, and equipment insurance. It's a lot to take in. And that's just the standard kit. What about other percussion instruments?

Learning to play different beats and drum fills, and learning how to play with other musicians is a voyage of discovery. A voyage that doesn't end.
